Expert Visits NIUMAG – Professor Ruan from Minnesota University visits NIUMAG Headquarter
November 19, 2022, Professor Ruan Rongsheng visted NIUMAG headquarter in Suzhou. Professor Ruan is the lifetime professor of Biological Products and Biosystems Engineering department in Minnesota University, ASABE fellow, IFT fellow.
Professor Ruan visited the newly built workshop, equipment R&D and production base of NIUMAG, gave guidance to NIUMAG’s work, and put forward valuable development suggestions.
Mr. Yang Peiqiang, Chairman of Suzhou NIUMAG and Professor Ruan walked together in NIUMAG time corridor, reviewing NIUMAG growth path.
Seeing the photos of the first National Low Field Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Technology and Application Seminar in the Time Corridor, Mr. Yang Peiqiang could not help but a multitude of feelings surge up. He was very grateful to Professor Ruan for his guidance and help in the early parts of NIUMAG.
Mr Yang Peiqiang introduced to Professor Ruan a number of products, such as body composition analyzer for live small animals, solid fat content analyzer, oil and water content analyzer for seeds, which were sold to Asia, Europe, North America and other places of the world. NIUMAG breakS the technical barrier and monopoly of foreign instruments as always, especially in the field of food and agriculture. Our partber in Turkey ordered dozens of seed oil and moisture content analyzers this year. Dr. Ruan said that as a domestic leading brand of low field NMR scientific instruments and equipment, NIUMAG has played a very good leading role and set an industry example. This time, dozens of sets of seed oil and water content analyzers were sold to tTurkey, which shows that NIUMAG brand has established itself internationally and has been recognized by international customers. It is hoped that NIUMAG will continue to innovate while maintaining quality, customize diversified products according to market demand, and make domestic instruments shine on the international stage.
In the meantime, Professor Ruan also mentioned his research on the application of food processing and preservation, food quality management, etc. For example, the development of new and high technologies to extend food shelf life and ensure food quality and food safety; Development of advanced non thermal plasma and high-voltage electric field technology in biological products and food processing applications.
Based on his years of scientific research experience in food, agriculture, biology and other fields, Professor Ruan compiled the book Application of NMR Technology in Food and Biological Systems, aiming to make more people understand the application of NMR technology in food science, agricultural science, biological science and other aspects.
After the visit to the exhibition hall of NIUMAG, Professor Ruan came to NIUMAG research and development base and production workshop to further understand the products of NIUMAG.
After NIUMAG Engineer explaining the application of NIUMAG’s products in research fields, such as oil and gas field development simulation experiment, shale oil and gas development evaluation, carbon dioxide oil displacement and carbon sequestration, Professor Ruan highly recognized achievements of NIUMAG in product development and innovation.
In particular, the additional high temperature and high pressure system is very suitable for the current industry needs. Professor Ruan hopes that NIUMAG can increase its publicity and open the international market. Also, he wishes NIUMAG will maintain its innovative spirit and provide high-temperature and high-pressure NMR solutions in food, agriculture, chemical industry and other fields.
